Entrepreneur Academy Trade Show: Opportunity for Budding Entrepreneurs

You can learn about a new type of trade show opportunity, showcase your brand and enter a contest at the Entrepreneur Academy Virtual Trade Show. This event will be held September 27, 2013 at College of the Canyons in Valencia. This innovative showcase that features a keynote speech from Mel Abraham, author of The Entrepreneur’s Solution, will be presented by the Young Entrepreneur Program of the Small Business Department Center (SBDC) in partnership with the Valley Industry Association.

The SBDC is part of Small Business Administration (SBA) network in Los Angeles. The organization offers individualized training to help entrepreneurs grow their business. They not only help get startups off the ground, they help build successful management and sales teams. The SBDC operates several business centers in the Los Angeles region, including locations in Long Beach, Santa Monica and Santa Clarita. The SBDC website stays on the cutting edge of business by offering tips that help entrepreneurs with mobile, blogs and networking.

Virtual Trade Show
A virtual trade show allows attendees to not be physically present, saving them hundreds or even thousands of dollars in traveling expenses. Much like a webinar, a virtual trade show is hosted on a video conferencing platform that brings exhibitors and attendees together online. The idea of the virtual trade show is growing in importance for entrepreneurs who do not have the budgets to pay for expensive rental space at a convention center. Trade shows have historically been catalysts for product launches, new inventions, marketing lists and brand awareness campaigns.

The Contest
Entrepreneurs can compete for prizes by displaying their actual or virtual trade show exhibits and be judged by their booth, sales, professional and customer service skills. Registering for the Virtual Trade Show and the contest can be done through the Valley Industry Association.
